This is my version of a scanogram, where we used the scanner as a camera. Then I used those images to create a photo collage, depicting some strange forest protester guy, not really sure.

This project was to be a portrait , so I chose to create a triptych of Francis Bacon. I n the piece I tried to combine a similarity to his work as well as my own.

These were 2 projects where we were to create a photo collage from online sources. I have no idea whats going on here, except that I really liked the creapy flying squirel, so I used him twice.

TypeFace

This was a short assignment where we were too make a design out of type. My initial goal was to create a simple yet recognizable image. This changed, however, and I ended up with simple yet unrecognizable images. Now it looks like some crazy circus.

Upcoming trip to the Mercer Museum

We will soon be tacking the short trip Doylestown to visit one of the premier vintage collections in America. Located in a mammoth poured concrete building once owned by Henry C. Mercer to store his collection of handmade objects and machines. His goal was to keep in tact a lifestyle which was rapidly being taken over by modern machinery and lifestyles.

Henry Mercer was Born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania and educated at Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania. Mercer himself was as interesting as his collection, being among other things an archaeologist, anthropologist, ceramist, and antique collector.
